I'm running for what I believe in, not to compare myself to anyone. I'm just going to say what I'd like to see done. I'd like to be as positive as I can and offer some leadership skills.

While working with entrepreneurs, I gained an understanding of what it takes to build a business from the ground up, and Iowa has a number of flaws in its bureaucracy that don't allow businesses to thrive and succeed, and most are prevented from even getting started. I understand what it takes to create jobs. Most importantly, I know how to listen to a customer and deliver what they want. It should be no different in state government.

The Legislature's attention should rest solely with the student, and I believe that focus has been lost in recent years.

I've always been interested in politics but couldn't get involved before because of my career.
