I'm very happy with the girls' performances. I knew that we would be competitive.

Three of my girls are going to the state science fair and wouldn't have been here. So we would have lost.

This is big. It's awesome. This one feels good because they had to work for it.

I never tell the girls; they didn't know, especially after the vault we had. Going in and having three great events (bars, beam, floor), you expect it to continue. It was shocking when it didn't. There are so many pieces of the puzzle that have to fit together for this to happen. I'm sad to see the season end, then again, I'm glad it's over.

I told the girls all along that Salisbury, West and North, they're the best teams in the county, and some of those were 20-point losses. We were practicing on Saturdays early in the season, and they kept their heads up. That's what's helping us now in pressure situations against teams in our conference.

I was pleased with that. The girls really knew they beat themselves in the Hebron game with errors back to back. They responded.
