I'm very pleased to have three All-Conference runners. I thought they ran great. Chelsea Stevenson, a freshman, ran great and she probably ran her best time. We've got a lot to look forward to next year.

I thought the girls performed really well, and I'm pleased with all of them. Haylea Martin finished fourth, and that's probably the best she's placed at the County meet. Sam Crosby was sixth, and she made her way up from fourteenth. I'm really proud of both of them.

The thought had to cross their minds that this was it.

I can't even fathom what I caused in their lives. I've thought about it for years, for decades ... but I will never fully fathom it. But I will never let myself forget it, either. And I pray for them every night.

We thought we had moved away from this kind of thing.

I thought we played good. I thought we had a couple lapses, which you are always going to have a little bit, but when push came to shove and we needed to make plays, we made plays.
