I'm very unclear as to why our team didn't respond well to the challenge. We had a good week of practice and felt real confident coming in, [but] when we hit the field it was like there was no energy and no enthusiasm.

We needed to get something going then. But we had to punt it back to them.

We did intend, initially, to throw a little more. But [the offensive line] played so well, we decided to stick with it. You know the old saying: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Give this guy a whole lot of credit. I've seen him on film, and I think he can do it on the next level. Athletically, he is just so much better than anybody on the football field.

It's always an emotional thing because it's Winston. But in terms of preparation, things don't change. It's always bittersweet going against family like that, but we need a win, and they need a win, so you have to put all that stuff behind and just play the game.

One of the things you break down on film is the defense, and it helps if you are familiar with the personnel.
