Immigration is as much about the American experience and the values we share, and a lot more about economics than it is about politics.

And we should be a welcoming nation. Our identity is not based on race or ethnicity, it's based on a set of shared values. That's American citizenship.

I wanted to identify that the black experience is American experience.

No place epitomizes the American experience and the American spirit more than New York City.

You've got Washington picking winners and losers. And so, all of a sudden, decisions are being made on what helps politicians, not what helps the economy. Some will call it socialism. Some will call it a command and control economy. Whatever it is, it's antithetical to the American experience.

There's a lot of obsession about people's personal ambitions.
