In 1919, at the Paris Peace Conference, Japan had put forward a proposal to guarantee racial equality at the League of Nations, but Woodrow Wilson overturned it in the face of majority support.

I read my first book on Woodrow Wilson at age 15, and I was hooked.

It's been the same story ever since I can remember, ever since Wilson – the Republicans don't do a thing for the little man.

Just think of what Woodrow Wilson stood for: he stood for world government. He wanted an early United Nations, League of Nations. But it was the conservatives, Republicans, that stood up against him.

Few American presidents have been unhappier or lonelier in office than Woodrow Wilson.
