In every role, a part of me gets to come out.

I came out to California to live with my mom in Orange County for a while, and then I came up to Hollywood. I had just turned nineteen. I took an acting class at Playhouse West and decided, 'Wow, I think I can do this!' I studied really hard for three years before I got an agent.

I play every show like it's my last. Fortunately, that's never turned out to be the case.

To me, the most interesting part of 'True Blood' is that the entire crux of the show is based on identity and finding your true identity.

There is a large element of me in every role I do.

Every time I'm in Georgia, I eat a peach for peace.
