In general, the classic definition of a consumer tax traditionally is regressive.

If it takes a greater percentage of a budget to buy something ... by definition, that's regressive.

There is a lot of interest in property tax relief across the country. A lot of states have either recently enacted or are considering a variety of mechanisms, often aimed at finding relief for senior citizens and low-income homeowners who get swamped by rising property values.

You, me - everybody else is going to see it. The general consumer is going to see it - in the grocery stores, everywhere. You are going to see prices increasing. Shipping costs have gone up, and they are going to pass it on to the consumer.
