In my mind, a middle school is not much more than a glorified junior high. The only difference is that it doesn't have the ninth grade. I just can't buy into the philosophy of a middle school until I see any good justification.

Many of us are on a fixed retirement income, but the city keeps throwing these taxes at the homeowners. I think they have too many things on their plate right now, so I definitely will not support this unless they change the tax structure.

I think it's from high school when I played wide receiver and those thoughts haven't left my mind. I feel elusive. At SC I used to call myself a fat Reggie Bush. It was a joke Reggie and I had. I told him that if I was 200 pounds I might be doing the same things he's been doing.

I had the mind-set that any school that wanted me, I was going to go there.

With it being a school thing, I don't mind too much. Part of it is supposed to be more personal but with this I'm still a little nervous but because it's through school, I don't mind.

The commissioners are responsible for public-school buildings, and they are a part of approving those plans. As long as they are aware that if they approve that, it's going to mean more students, and when we go to ask for more money it's not a surprise.
