In my opinion, the people who ran with SAC last year really started to see that Students' Party was working on the same issues. We didn't feel it was necessary to duke it out and have this fight for three weeks. … We're trying to build more unity.

The reason we came to Finance Board was that we wanted to take people outside of A.S. to the conference. The [External Vice President of Statewide Affairs'] office did not have any more money in its budget for the event.

When either party wants to get its message to the people, they call on CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC -- those are the conduits they want to use. We are second-class citizens.

Our school is very open to new students and we love having people come from other places. We feel it is important to open up our doors to them and help them in any way possible.
