In our profession when something happens, everybody always wants to help. That's what we do.

It's just like when we're back here at the firehouse. At nighttime you go to bed--some nights you might sleep all night, and other nights you might have two or three calls.

It was just seeing the devastation that was caused and what the people are going through, trying to get their lives back together. Their houses are gone, they're starting from scratch, trying to do the best they can until they get back on their feet.

I had to work night shift just so I could coach, so it wasn't really my profession, I did it for the love of the game. Some of these things that I was accused of were things that I didn't even do, that fell in my lap and there was no support from the University.

I just want to help bring things to the city.

It will help erase the idea that politics is a second-rate profession and a dirty business.
