Incredibly intelligent people always seem odd to those who are not as sharp.

There's a thin line between genius and bottom-barrel stupidness. I hover delicately on a tightrope between the two, wondering where I'll land if I'll ever fall.

The purpose of having the orphans study all these diverse fields was not for them to just become geniuses, but to become polymaths – meaning they would be geniuses in a wide variety of fields.

Being smart means you learned it well; being stupid means you haven't learned it yet; but true genius means you know it when no one taught it to you.

Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped
