Individually the write-ins did not win, but collectively they certainly did. A powerful message was sent to three powerfully arrogant incumbents. This should have been a walk in the park to re-election, and they've been given their worst nightmare.

The teams could try to individually justify their decisions, but if you look at it collectively, you can't help but reach the conclusion there's a double standard.
