Internationally women's teams have adapted jump serving and breaking the barrier with these players was not so hard.

I'm not knocking those guys, but they did get their teams here. There's a lot of players and a lot of teams that just don't seem to get this far because it takes a special chemistry to get here.

It seems we're not only letting other teams jump out, then [they] add on, which makes it tough. But we're not clicking ourselves in the first four or five innings. We've got to find a way to correct that.

It's not going to be easy every day, but I'm going to work hard, and our players are going to work hard, ... I look forward to this as a new chapter in my life, and I can't wait to get started.

But that methodology where players are pitted against other unfamiliar players has been so widely adapted now that anybody plays with everybody.

There's not many teams who fail to pursue their most popular player or one of their better players. I know the Yankees would never be like that.
