We think this was an accident. It would have happened whether the driver was stone cold sober or not. It was just an unavoidable accident. I think that, unfortunately, these young ladies stepped out in front of the car.

I think the physical evidence is inconsistent with the car being up on the curb on the sidewalk. I think the evidence is more consistent with them panicking and stepping out on the street.
