Is there a status quo in the house?

I don't accept the status quo. I do accept Visa, MasterCard, or American Express.

The status quo sucks.

The status quo is simply unacceptable.

Lamentably, it is a historical fact that privileged groups seldom give up their privileges voluntarily. Individuals may see the moral light and voluntarily give up their unjust posture; but, as Reinhold Niebuhr has reminded us, groups tend to be more immoral than individuals.

Just because the question can be answered doesn't mean that anyone is obliged to answer it, or that it ought to be asked.
