It appears that she has won the election, and we certainly offer our congratulations.

All indications are that this appears to be a free and fair election. I think that stands in stark contrast to what we saw in Belarus.

They won the division. We really wanted to do that, so congratulations to them. But we've got another shot at them and the loser goes home.

On behalf of the University of Oregon, I am delighted to offer my heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Richmond upon her election to this most prestigious organization. Dr. Richmond is one of the world's most accomplished chemists and she is an enormous credit to her profession and to this university. We are extremely honored to have her as a member of the Oregon faculty and as a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

We have won this election. We have won both the presidential and parliamentary vote.

We insist on the same stance that we won?t compete in the by-election.
