It crosses the line of student-teacher relations. There's no acceptable reason for why a teacher would do that. You hold your teachers to a higher standard; you expect them to respect your child.

I was totally appalled that someone in our district would think they could get away with that.

I'm glad she resigned because there was a group of parents (who) were going to go to the board and ask for her resignation.

But, whatever the reason, the idea was born that women could and should be educated. It lifted a mountain load from woman. It shattered the idea, everywhere pervasive as the atmosphere, that women were incapable of education, and would be less womanly, less desirable in every way, if they had it.

I don't think there is a compelling reason to be in equities right now. I would be actually sitting on cash, looking for a better entry into the gold market. Gold has awakened out of 20-year bear market and surprised a lot of people.

We're always going to face great pitchers in this district so that's one reason we haven't been hitting well. But right now, I just don't think we're seeing the ball. What we need to do is to put the bat on the ball in some crucial situations and see if we can get something going.
