It cuts so wide as to even make confidential housing inspection reports. People should be able to know what housing inspectors were finding out about their buildings. We just didn't prevail on that.

So, obviously, we won't be able to get in to do that inspection.

They were very willing to sit down with the press and work out something that was targeted....

All in all, if you look at the past five years, I don't see any real dire, extreme actions that would amount to the kind of closure of records that would really make you nervous.

Clearly, reports of the housing market's demise have been greatly exaggerated.

The only people who seem to be all exercised about tax cuts are legislators. Voters want decent education, they want health care, they want clean air, they want transportation. They say it over and over again, but the Legislature is not listening.
