It depends on where you go. But it's reasonable to take precautions because you can get a lot of (health related) things while traveling.

People often underestimate how difficult it is to get medicines in other countries. You can buy over-the-counter drugs but you can't be 100 percent sure you have the right thing. They could be the wrong medication or the dosage may not be the same.

There's only so much you can do. Are you not going to do something because of political unrest? You have to balance the risk and the benefits.

Mental health problems do not affect three or four out of every five persons but one out of one.

That's a much lower percentage than for other mental health disorders. It suggests that a lot of these individuals probably don't need treatment, but at the same time it might well be that people who do need treatment are not getting it, for personal reasons or because of external barriers.

It's important to get an update on the current physical and mental health status.
