It feels good that the coaching staff has confidence in me to play me that late in the game and give me a chance. I wanted to hold it down, maybe make a run, and let our main guys finish them off.

We don't know when we're going to get in, but I know [Weiss] does have the confidence in me and will put me in. I just try to stay ready. I'm not going to go in there and score 30 points because that isn't what I do. What I do is defend and run the team.

We had passive turnovers where we were turning it over on the pass. If we play with more confidence and more aggressively on our passes and our drives, I think we would have fewer turnovers.

We had confidence in the offense and knew they'd play better in the second half. The main thing we were able to do tonight was get some of the young guys game time.

I always play well in this rink, even if I'm in a slump. I have a lot of confidence in this barn. I saw a lot of the net tonight. Once that first one went in, you think you can score every time and it seems easy.

Developmentally, we still are growing. We still need to learn how to play together and gain confidence together. But we are more hungry and knowledgeable, I think, this year.
