It feels great to finally break the curse of our (playoff) losing streak. I've been on this team six years and every year we've made the playoffs and lost in the first round. This is an amazing feeling.

The big blow to our midfield is losing Heather Stephens. She was a great leader for the team. However, the new players we have brought in have excellent skills and experience. They will fit in just fine, and pick up where Heather left off.

It's real frustrating, I'm not going to lie. We keep practicing so hard, then keep losing. We just have to find a way, we can't start pointing fingers.

We want to take this as far as we can. We hope to play three more games. Right now, our goal is to win (Saturday) and get to the state tournament.

We have to have a working vehicle. Maybe in the future my family will plan a benefit to help with transportation, car repairs, lodging and assorted costs, but we have had nothing like that yet. I wouldn't know the first thing about putting together something like that.

Lisa calls every day to see how things are. They both have been so good to us.
