It feels hopeful, and it feels different. Credit is due the government scientists who are finally saying the right thing and the politicians who are allowing them to say it.

Everyone should get what they need.

Every morning I wake up saying, I'm still alive; a miracle. And so I keep on pushing.

If the public and legislators come away saying, 'Oh, we can never get an answer from these scientists. It's useless to spend money testing diet' -- then a lot of damage will have been done. Nutrition is important. We've already learned a lot that offers people plenty of sound advice. But there is a lot more we can learn. We just have to approach it in a smarter way.

I think what happened unfortunately is there is no policy in the U.S. government to allow these scientists to come to the U.S.. ... There is no plea-bargain policy.

I won't date a guy who doesn't own a toolbox. I'm not saying you need to be able to knock down a wall or build a house or anything like that. But I've been out with a couple of guys who didn't own toolboxes, and they couldn't even change a light bulb.
