It gets us something in the treasury. And it gives the students a place to come and learn. (Learning to paint) is something they can do for their enjoyment, and to help themselves. For some of our members, (creating art) is very therapeutic.

We have people interested in fiber arts, quilting, sculpture -- any of the visual arts in quite a variety of media.

They have oils and brushes and supplies. I'm sure if they do a watercolor course they would have supplies for that as well.

The way these grants work is that it takes about a year to get any money. Typically you apply in the spring and you get the money sometime in the autumn.

We became a not-for-profit, but we need to grow.

Although it is important for all students to be touched in significant ways by global learning, our QEP should lead students beyond global learning, by giving them the knowledge, skills, and values they should possess as responsible global citizens,
