It gives us a chance to evaluate everyone's riding ability.

It's a two-fold deal. It's a chance for us to evaluate where we're at going into the fall and establish our two-deep, while letting the kids fly around, have a little fun and bring some excitement to spring football.

We use this (scrimmage) to evaluate who will start for us, and who we thought might start that might end up coming off the bench. We even get a chance to look at some new plays that we want to run and see if they can work out.

We once had a group of five snowboarders from England book a cat for the day. The most experienced of them had ridden five days in his life. We had very few runs, but these guys had the time of their lives, just falling and laughing and picking themselves up all day long.

Their ability to throw the ball against us was the difference. We've seen things that we can work on and fix. Once we shore up our pass defense, we think we'll be OK.
