The ability to play the clarinet is the ability to overcome the imperfections of the instrument. There's no such thing as a perfect clarinet, never was and never will be.

It's worth the drive. Different surfaces are really good for your body. If you're on the treadmill you're always striking the exact same spots. Varying terrain allows a break from that. It mixes it up. Psychologically, varying the environment is good as well.

Great music. Well worth traveling 90 miles.
