It happens. We're not robots. Just kind of get up and do it again.

In a way it kind of humanizes the sport. She is someone that has been an icon that's always been there, and you have always seen her hard edge and she's always competed and done well. And to see that people can be at the very top of the sport and can also have hard times just humanizes it for other athletes. To know there are good times and there are bad times, and you have to persevere and kind of deal with what life gives you.

Definitely you have to be able to handle pressure and shake off any mistake and I kind of didn't do that tonight. I let that first mistake creep in. I have to be tougher.

I've just kind of evolved in the way I think. I learned to just enjoy it. I feel really lucky to do what I do, be in the situation I'm in, and I love it. I'm going to have fun out there and trust my training and not worry, because I've figured out the worry doesn't help.

It felt a little empty with her not here. Michelle has always been a big part of the event. I miss competing with her. It really doesn't feel like the Nationals.

I think I was probably not nervous but just a little apprehensive. Ultimately, the jumps just weren't there.
