It hurts to think about where we would be without these guys. They've been a godsend.

It's frustrating because you see how devastating he can be. You talk to guys on other teams and they marvel at how good his stuff is. When he puts it together, he's going to be a force for us.

I think defence, for the most part, being a balanced player and also saving a lot of runs on the defensive side, I think was a major factor here. To me, defence is foremost. It's always been. The White Sox showed us this year pitching and defense wins to this day.

I don't know if we're ready. I don't think we're July ready. But it's hard when you wear this uniform to go between the white lines and say, 'OK, I'm going to play 60 or 70 percent.' That's where I hope people don't get hurt, where your mind wants to be in July but your body is still in the middle of March.

I never like to think about going back; I only look forward.

Our guys, I think they've played hungry. It's something we can hopefully continue to do. Every game we've played this year, they've played hungry and played like they want to prove themselves.
