It is certainly OK for anybody in an official capacity of the Church to minister to and be receptive to people with a same-sex orientation. As long as he follows the dictates of the Church.

Dr. Pence is on some kind of mission of his own, and he has knitted together these charges and rumors of different kinds into some kind of whole, and he's trying to use them to ride on the coattails of a horrible tragedy. We shouldn't even have to dignify it by responding.

Any communication between a priest and the archbishop is personal and confidential. But obviously there is a point of disagreement there someplace in his homilies or some of the things on the radio.
