It is important for people to know that no matter what lies in their past, they can overcome the dark side and press on to a brighter world.

She could do this. She was stronger now. This was her chance to prove it.

You can be a victim of cancer, or a survivor of cancer. It's a mindset.

My scars remind me that I did indeed survive my deepest wounds. That in itself is an accomplishment. And they bring to mind something else, too. They remind me that the damage life has inflicted on me has, in many places, left me stronger and more resilient. What hurt me in the past has actually made me better equipped to face the present.

Dwelling in the PAST is like jumping from a vertiginous height and landing on a bottomless pit… a never-ending fall… you open your eyes and cry for help… only to realize that YOU alone can un-strangle yourself.

All acts of healing are ultimately our selves healing our Self.
