It is important that voters be as informed as possible when they enter the polls May 9 to determine who has the experience, integrity and vision to lead Nebraska to excellence.

We're finding that it's reflecting one-to-one the voters at the polls. It reflects the populace.

Historically, when big issues confront the electorate, young voters come to the polls. In 2004, it was the war in Iraq.

It's not opinion polls that determine the outcome of elections, it's votes in ballot boxes.

Up to this point, we are very pleased with this group. When you go up in the polls, it does create more problems. We're been up there before, but never this high. You can stay there as long as you don't lose. But this season is really just getting under way.

These polls are nice, but they don't really mean a whole lot. We're two weeks away from (the playoffs) when everything really counts.
