It is obvious that the monetary union among 17 very different European countries does not work. As an economist, I know that the Eurozone is not an optimum currency area, as defined in economic theory.

The U.S. trade embargo on Cuba is almost completely ineffective, as many other countries, including the European Union, do not honor it.

Georgia is not just a European country, but one of the most ancient European countries.

I think that there is a malaise in all European countries in this economic cycle which punishes whoever is at the helm of government.

Diplomatically, I think that the Arab countries are going to be re-looking at their relationship with the European Union, particularly by requiring a certain amount of respect (on issues like religion). Even if this doesn't necessarily correspond to European values.
