It should be exciting. We want to make this a community event.

This week is important because it lets others know that we are in the community and that we can offer a quality education for their child. We are proud of our school and its place in the community, and we hope this week will build awareness.

The fact is you cannot have great schools without the involvement of the entire community, but this information does not tell the whole story, ... We need to look carefully at the data. It is great to be number one in the state, but we mustn't forget that our work is truly about individual children, and until each individual child is getting what he needs, we cannot rest. We know that there are still students who are not yet achieving to their maximum ability.

The community has to rally for a facility.

Our goal was just to welcome him to the community and let him know there are supporters.

I was amazed that we ended up with someone like that in the community. He could have gone anywhere.
