It started the very next day when we arrived after suffering five consecutive defeats in our regional one-day competition (in October 2005). And I'm sure every member of the team would agree with me that...it was a tough road to travel.

We need to ensure we get our one-day game right so that we can use that confidence and go straight into the India series.

Since I made my debut in 1999, this team that we've got and the guys we have around, there is a certain uniqueness about the spirit and about the team unity.

I thought they (New Zealand) had a solid foundation (224 for 1) to propel themselves to a score of 300 but the (West Indies) slow bowlers played an important part in the game and it is obviously something we'll be taking into our thinking tank. I thought we stuck to the task well in the end after they got off to a good start.

I think we're just a little bit behind the eight ball at the moment. But I'm sure we're going to improve from here.
