It was a great contest. The doubles were close and we were happy to be able to win that point. We went out strong in singles, but Texas really fought back. Fortunately, we were able to get the upper hand down the stretch in a couple key matches.

The conditions have never been tougher than they were on Friday. It was the worst wind I've ever seen.

Everybody gets a legitimate warm up. It's even to the point where the guys come over and ask if they can get some warm-up time.

Especially if the players coming in are 21 years old as freshmen. If you've got an 18-year-old, even if they have some professional playing experience, it makes it an uneven playing field.

I went to high school, and I started getting bullied because I was very weird. I mean, freshman year I went to school in a pirate suit - I just didn't care. I'm not like the cool girls - I'm the other girl. The one that's basically a nerd, but proud of that.

I'm sad that a lot of the old Spring Festival traditions have gone out of style. But my generation is creating new ones. Not worse, just different.
