It was a punishment vote against the current government, which has done nothing to improve the living conditions of Colombians.

The president should be worried. With 55 percent, if there's is a margin of error of 4 percent, he could actually have only 51 percent.

A fraud is being committed beyond the voting booths, obliging people to vote against their will. An election under these conditions is suspicious.

There's no clear line, no strategy.

The federal government in general and, in particular, agricultural officials don't seem to understand that the countryside is more than real-estate values, gross margins, profitability and exports. This ban about slaughtering cattle, it comes from someone sitting at a desk who knows nothing about agriculture but just wants results tomorrow.

If the government wants to increase the supply of beef, they need to give us the methods to invest and to stimulate production. This decision is more about elections than production.
