It was definitely an institution, a tradition. You never knew where the conversation was going to go. It could be politics, or it could be a dirty joke.

Any time you have a conversation about how you reconfigure districts, those questions are going to be a consideration. In some cases the idea is that consolidation will lead to more fairness. In others it's that smaller districts might mean more local control and better support for student needs.

We don't want students to be a burden on families. When (our family) hosted a student, we didn't feel an impact on our family budget.

If the college doesn't take our recommendations, the board may proceed to a censure.

We'd like to see both sides work out their differences and the college reinstate Bosley to her former position.

The committee decides how it wants to divide the pot of money. It brings a little bit more objectivity to the process.
