It was disconcerting, since I'm a ground-ball pitcher. At least they were solos.

He's got a lot on the ball. He's the best young pitcher I've ever seen. I didn't see Dwight Gooden when he was young, but of all the young kids I've seen, he's by far the furthest along.

Give the pitcher credit, he threw the ball well. We didn't muster much of an offense.

The ball was on the ground, but he picked it up and got it on the tee. We got it through.

That's been the biggest one, just since he's a Cardinal pitcher and he's a local guy and actually in the show. He's just a class-act guy. Watching him throw bullpens has been cool, not just for me, since I'm a Cardinal fan, but for the kids.

When we needed him to, he's really thrown the ball well, so that's been a plus.
