It was just like any Knights team in the last few years. We screwed up in the first half and came together in the second. If we could start out fast, that would make a big difference.

I think we can pull this one out.

We knew they were the team to beat in our league, so I don't feel too bad about this.

It was a great team effort for the Mustangs. You may get (defensive coordinator) Cornel (Thompson) in the first half, but he'll come out at halftime with some adjustments and did tonight. We put Beasley in on defense and kept Butler to just a few crossing patterns and nothing deep after that first score.

The team showed great resilience. They had to come back twice really, once after the first half and again to break the tie. I'm proud of how they stayed composed and kept fighting for victory.
