It was the worst sight I have ever seen and I've been in some disasters.

In addition to the huge amounts of rotting debris everywhere, people were simply throwing out their garbage and waste because the city's entire sanitation system had collapsed.

This is the worst disaster of my 32 years I've ever seen that's this bad. I've been through a lot of hurricanes and disaster services. This is a war zone. It is horrid. People's lives are just — everything they've worked for their entire lives is absolutely gone.

There are natural disasters, the worst part of humanity has come in the city in the aftermath, yet I believe in all that somehow God is doing things that inevitably will be good,

I see them in a different light. I've seen their best and worst on and off the field. To be even grouped in the same sentence with them is a tremendous honor.
