It was tough in Philadelphia because no matter what you do, you can't live up to their expectations. You could do your best, but it wasn't good enough for them. It's probably the same extent here.

I'm here to win. I know that, I understand that, and I'm excited about the expectations and the vision of this University. It also meets the vision I have for what I want to do and accomplish here at Murray State University.

I slept the whole day and didn't budge.

The guy who has stood out as being special is Howard. You don't walk in and just replace Jim Thome, but you can't possibly do any better than he has.

I am not the missing piece. I am not the savior. I can do my job, but that doesn't mean we're going to win. It has to take everybody — not just one person.

I tuned that all out. Obviously, there was a lot of stuff going on. But it was just a spring training game to me. It was fun for the Latin crowd.
