It would see to me the downstream assets of Texaco in the United States are the major issue here. Generally speaking, the upstream generation and production company doesn't have any FTC concern.

It's a hard case to make that the United States and others should be investing resources into a country that is squandering its own resources.

Number-one problem, Katrina was the worst disaster in the history of the United States. Number two, the lack of leadership by the president, FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency ), the governor and the mayor.

The patent is related to making and selling things in the United States. But if you one master CD in the U.S. and the rest overseas, the master CD is very significant. The court can consider the effect of related activities outside the country. If as a result, the infringing company profited, it's settled law that you can get damages caused by that infringement.

There [are] absolutely no plans to file for bankruptcy. This is a $4 billion enterprise in the United States and it will remain in business serving clients despite defections.
