It's a community center for the south end of the county.

As you look at this campus, one thing it doesn't do is integrate with the community very well. Either you're on campus or you're not. We're looking to change that.

Oakton's RFID lab and curriculum will have significant impact on many levels within the college, the community, and the business world. Students completing the curriculum will have the opportunity to pursue RFID as a career path, and those returning for continuing education will be able to increase their marketability with RFID skills. Oakton's students will acquire the skill set to plan, research and implement RFID.

The only reason that I can discern them doing that right now is because we won't leave the community corrections issue alone.

We do not charge any of the public schools to use any of the facilities. That's like hitting the taxpayers twice. We don't do that.

Spring Hill will pay half the land cost, plus $4 million for the construction.
