It's a definite feel-good event. It's just really a venue to let people know the fabulous things that people are doing in the community and don't get highlighted enough.

She came up with some great ideas. She really knows how to execute.

You are going to be scrutinized very closely on that score and you need people who aren't going to stumble, especially in the current climate we've got where there's cynicism. People are watching, people are much more attentive to government and cabinet ministers.

I've looked at our membership list recently. And we have had over 120 people come to our auditions over the years.

One of the reasons we do this is to show people that even if you collect salt and pepper shakers or if you're an 8 year old collecting dogs, people do collect and we hope that they end up learning to collect artwork if they are not already doing such a thing. It makes them feel a part of the gallery.

The other 5 percent, we try to bring in designers who are really hot or items we think that people would love to see because they're fun.
