It's a good compromise. It safeguards the rights of all South Carolina property owners and keeps undue government regulation under control.

The mania for giving the Government power to meddle with the private affairs of cities or citizens is likely to cause endless trouble.

We respect each other. We understand that there's going to have to be a compromise. We're not a political organization. We are an organization trying to relieve the suffering on both sides.

They (government) have shown no interest at all. Forget about a compromise, they are not even bothered to listen to our woes.
