It's a great honor for Terry Belanger, but it's also an honor for the University. It shows the caliber of the faculty of the University.

It's not often you get someone of the caliber of Terry Bowden.

These things are all important to us. Clearly, economic diversity and service is one of the priorities at the University.

A public university is part of the state system and dependent on not only the governor to appoint our boards and the General Assembly to approve them, but we are also dependent on the General Assembly and the governor for the budget every year.

How can the university honor me for accomplishments in an endeavor which they clearly do not respect?

As a colleague and collaborator, Blake Atkinson is without peer. He represents that exceptional caliber of teacher that serves his students and school well in a variety of capacities.
