It's a learning experience because people are learning about different black people. It's educational for everybody.

When I was in elementary school at Tillman, Black History Month was important because I went to a majority black school. Since I moved into middle school (Haile) and high school, Black History Month has not been recognized as much.

It's about people who are ready to take God out of the box. These people stand up for their faith regardless of what they are labeled. It's just so great to see the power of God and to feel His presence.

Originally, I prayed for an increase in attendees. We started with only five people and now that there's near 100, it feels real. It is real.

It is a learning experience for both the parent and the child. Lots of different people come to classes, not just environmentalists.

It was a mutually beneficial learning experience. Although I was taking a lot out of the experience, the people I interacted with got a different perspective of what Americans were like. Having a white person stay with them was atypical for that culture. I was very warmly welcomed.
