It's a statement game for this university and this program if you beat a top-15 team. Beating a name like Miami means a whole lot.

Miami's a marquee program you hear about every week. It's a school the majority of us here would want to go to. It's the type of program you measure yourself up to. By beating that program, it brings you up with them.

It's a very similar process to a university or hospital being accredited. It's a thorough process and normally a department spends about two or three years doing self-assessment making sure it meets the rigorous standards required by CALEA.

We have been blessed with great tradition - established by having a great University, great coaches and great players. In establishing a set of criteria with extremely high standards, these three stood out among the rest. Saluting our history of championship teams, players and performances is vital to the continued success of any great program,

Let me emphatically state that no inducements or improper offers have ever been done to any recruit at the University of Arkansas. I believe the source of the claim has a lack of credibility, and I believe it was intentionally done to harm our program.

That one issue is the only issue. We're delivering a failed product to the university level.
