It's a terrific show because its selective of the artists. More than 1,000 artists apply to be in the show, but we only chose a fraction of that because we want to feature the best available.

We have a jury of professionals in the arts field. When someone wants to participate in our shows, they send in slides or pictures of their work ... and the jury will go over them and decide if they are good enough or if they suit the show.

It’s a shame how much artists have to bleed for people to enjoy their work.

I went to Juilliard in New York and used to do cabarets just for fun. Occasionally, I would get together with a jazz musician and play at a restaurant for cash. And I've done some background vocals for recording artists.
