It's a tough transition going from two championship seasons to a losing season, but it just shows we have a lot more to prove.

It's rare a team has a Cinderella year where they have a lot of losing seasons and then all of a sudden make it to the playoffs, unless you can go out and buy a bunch of talent. For us, that's one of our stepping stones. We want to get to .500 and keep moving from there.

This is first time, either as a player or a coach, I've ever had back-to-back losing seasons. You want to let your fans and players know you're trying to do things better.

It wasn't disappointing losing to Wake [Forest]. They ended up winning, as they had the previous two seasons. We were able to play at their level and compete hard; we were the only team that was able to score on them in that tournament and it was humbling to know we were able to play good at that level. It shows that we were an unbelievable team.

The kids are scheduled with lacrosse and soccer during the nice seasons, and there seems to be little time for those types of things.

We were more ready to play the second game. There wasn't any excuse for losing the first game.
